New gout drug aims to beat standard treatment in pain showdown

Summary
This study tests a new medicine called ABP-745 to see if it reduces pain and swelling from an acute gout flare better than the standard drug colchicine or a placebo. About 380 adults aged 18 to 70 who have had at least two gout flares in the past year will take part. The main goal is to measure pain relief using a simple pain scale.
