This study looked at 167 people with atrial fibrillation or flutter who were scheduled for their first catheter ablation. Researchers measured changes in stroke and bleeding risk scores before and 3, 6, and 12 months after the procedure. They also compared different ways to monitor heart rhythm after ablation, including implantable devices and smartwatches.
