NCT ID NCT07570004
First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether giving people a gentle abdominal massage before surgery could help them avoid constipation after the operation. Sixty adults who were already constipated and scheduled for general surgery took part. Half received the massage, and the other half did not. Researchers then compared stool consistency and constipation rates between the two groups.
