Squeezing the belly to fight dizzy spells: scientists probe a simple fix
NCT ID NCT02429557
Summary
This study aims to understand how a tight abdominal binder helps people with a nerve condition that causes severe drops in blood pressure when they stand up. Researchers will compare this physical therapy to a standard medication by measuring heart and blood flow changes while participants lie on a tilting table. The goal is to learn exactly how the compression works to improve symptoms like dizziness and fainting.
