NCT ID NCT04523857
First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether two FDA-approved pills—abemaciclib (Verzenio) and hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil)—can reduce or eliminate leftover breast cancer cells hiding in the bone marrow. About 66 patients with high-risk breast cancer will take one or both drugs for six months. The goal is to see if this approach can lower the chance of cancer coming back.
