New Alzheimer's drug targets brain plaques in global trial
NCT ID NCT05291234
Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called ABBV-916 in people with early Alzheimer's disease. About 195 participants received monthly IV infusions to see if the drug was safe, how it moved through the body, and if it could reduce harmful amyloid plaques in the brain. The trial included a main 6-month blinded period and an optional 2-year extension where all participants could receive the drug.
