Immune cell therapy shows promise for Tough-to-Treat lymphoma
NCT ID NCT04673617
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This trial tested a new therapy called AB-101, made from natural killer (NK) cells, in 45 people with B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma that had come back or stopped responding to treatment. The study looked at AB-101 alone or combined with other drugs like rituximab or chemotherapy. The goal was to check safety and see if the treatment could shrink tumors.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
AB-101 (natural killer cell therapy)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a new treatment option for patients with hard-to-treat B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma that has not responded to standard therapies.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial with only 45 participants, so results may not apply to all patients. The therapy may cause side effects or fail to show meaningful anti-cancer activity.
