Could a simple scan replace biopsies for cancer detection?

NCT ID NCT06754345

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a new type of PET scan (68Ga-NK224) to measure PD-L1 levels in tumors. PD-L1 is a protein that helps some cancers hide from the immune system. The goal is to see if the scan can give the same information as a tissue biopsy, but without the need for surgery. The study will enroll 100 adults with cancer and compare scan results to standard lab tests.
