New Gut-Friendly diet challenges standard IBS treatment

NCT ID NCT06338189

Summary

This study tested whether a new diet called the 5Ad diet works as well as the commonly used low FODMAP diet for reducing symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and similar gut disorders. Fifty-two adults with chronic digestive symptoms tried each diet for one week, with a break in between. Researchers measured changes in abdominal pain, bloating, fatigue, and other symptoms to see which approach worked better.
