Faster radiation tested to fight rare cancer before surgery
NCT ID NCT02701153
Summary
This study is testing a shorter, 5-day radiation treatment given before surgery for soft tissue sarcoma, a rare cancer. The goal is to see if this faster approach is as effective at controlling the cancer while causing fewer long-term side effects like scarring or stiffness. Researchers will follow patients for five years to track cancer control, survival, and quality of life.
