First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether 3D printed hybrid resin crowns look better than traditional milled crowns for single tooth implants. Thirty-two adults with healed implants will receive one type of crown and rate their satisfaction. Researchers will also check for complications like fractures over follow-up visits.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

3D printed hybrid resin ceramic crowns

What this could lead to

If 3D printing proves better, it could offer a more esthetic and patient-friendly option for dental crowns.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage trial with only 32 participants, so results may not apply widely. Crown fracture or other complications are possible.
