3D-Printed mouth guard could prevent injuries during cleft surgery

Summary
This study tests a custom-made silicone tray, created using 3D scanning and printing, to protect the mouth and palate during anesthesia in children with cleft lip and palate. About 120 children will take part to see if the tray reduces tissue damage and makes breathing tube placement easier and safer.
