3D printing could make aortic aneurysm repair safer and more precise
NCT ID NCT06969729
First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to treat complex abdominal aortic aneurysms: using a custom-made stent-graft versus one shaped with the help of a 3D-printed model of the patient's aorta. About 100 adults with large or fast-growing aneurysms will take part. The goal is to see if the 3D-printing approach improves survival and reduces the risk of rupture or other complications.
