This study is testing a custom-made, 3D-printed splint designed to hold open the collapsing windpipes of young children with a severe condition called tracheobronchomalacia. The splint is 'bioresorbable,' meaning it dissolves in the body over about five years. Researchers aim to see if this device is a safe and effective way to help these children breathe better and improve their quality of life.
