Virtual you: do 3D avatars change how we see weight loss?

NCT ID NCT07541872

First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether seeing a 3D avatar of yourself at different weights changes how satisfied and confident you feel about losing weight, compared to just seeing numbers on a scale. About 250 adults who are overweight and want to lose weight will take a one-time online survey. They will answer questions and rate their reactions to both visual and numerical weight loss results. The goal is to understand how these tools might help people set and stick to weight loss goals.
