GPS-Guided radiotherapy aims to cure prostate cancer in just 3 days

NCT ID NCT06117059

Summary

This study is testing whether a new, highly precise form of radiotherapy can effectively treat early prostate cancer in just 3 sessions, instead of the standard 5. It uses a special tracking system, like a GPS for the prostate, to target the cancer more accurately and aims to keep side effects on the bladder and bowel the same or lower. The goal is to make curative treatment more convenient while maintaining safety and effectiveness for men with low or intermediate-risk prostate cancer.
