First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looked at whether giving well-nourished gastrointestinal cancer patients a special nutrition drink for just 3 days before surgery could reduce complications after the operation. The trial planned to enroll 107 people but was stopped early. The main goal was to see if this short-term nutrition plan lowered the rate of post-surgery problems.
