First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a new type of PET scan called 18F-FSPG PET/CT can help doctors see how well chemotherapy and radiation are working in people with esophageal cancer. Nine adults with untreated, locally advanced esophageal cancer will get the scan before and during treatment. The goal is to learn if the scan results match the tumor's response, not to test a new treatment.
