Quick fix for bad dreams? 10-Minute therapy tested in Doctor's office

NCT ID NCT04529070

Summary

This study tested whether a very brief, 10-minute therapy could help reduce the frequency and distress caused by recurring nightmares. The therapy, delivered by non-specialist staff in a primary care clinic, involved teaching patients to rewrite and rehearse new endings for their bad dreams. The trial compared this approach against basic sleep advice alone in 68 military-affiliated patients, but was terminated before completion.
