Pineapple enzyme gel could speed healing of stubborn leg wounds

This study tests a gel called EscharEx, made from pineapple enzymes, to remove dead tissue from hard-to-heal leg ulcers. About 216 adults with venous leg ulcers will receive either the active gel or a placebo. The goal is to see if the gel safely and effectively cleans the wound …
