New pill could help shed pounds: obesity drug trial launches

This study tests an experimental oral drug called ERX1000 in 80 adults with obesity (BMI 30-50). Participants will take the drug or a placebo daily for 24 weeks to see if it helps with weight loss and is safe. The goal is to find a new treatment option for obesity.
