Timing matters: nerve block before surgery beats after for kidney pain

This study tested whether giving a nerve block (QLB) before or after open kidney surgery provides better pain control. 100 adults aged 18-60 took part. The goal was to see which timing reduces pain and the need for strong painkillers (opioids) in the first 24 hours after surgery.
