Placenta cells tested as COVID fighter – but trial stopped early

This early-phase trial tested a new therapy called CYNK-001, which uses natural killer cells from the placenta to fight COVID-19. It enrolled only 7 adults with moderate COVID-19. The study was terminated early, so we have limited information on safety and effectiveness.
