Researchers hunt for clues to predict arthritis progression

NCT ID NCT01969188

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at 70 people with spondyloarthritis (including ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis) to find biological markers that might predict how their disease would progress. Researchers measured immune system signals in the blood and tracked disease activity over two years. The goal was to better understand why some patients lose mobility and how they respond to treatment, but this was an observational study, not a treatment trial.
