First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study followed 300 elderly patients (65+) for 7 days after noncardiac surgery to track their pain levels and identify patterns. Researchers also checked if early pain predicted chronic pain at 3 and 6 months. The goal was to better understand who is at risk for long-term pain, not to test a new treatment.
