First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at people with esophageal or stomach cancer that has spread to only a few spots (oligometastases). All participants get 4 months of standard therapy, then are randomly assigned to either 4 more months of drugs before local treatment (surgery or radiation) or immediate local treatment followed by more drugs. The goal is to see which timing leads to better disease control and quality of life.
