New hope for recurrent melanoma: immunotherapy before surgery shows promise
NCT ID NCT06365619
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study is for people whose melanoma has come back after standard treatment. Researchers want to see if giving two immunotherapy drugs (ipilimumab and nivolumab) before surgery can shrink the tumor and improve outcomes. About 25 adults will receive two cycles of these drugs, then have surgery, followed by standard care. The main goal is to measure how well the tumor responds to the drugs before surgery.
