Major trial tests gentler vs. stronger chemo for tough leukemia

Summary
This phase 3 trial is enrolling 339 adults with acute myeloid leukemia that has returned or not responded to treatment. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either high-intensity chemotherapy or a lower-intensity regimen (like venetoclax combinations). The goal is to see which approach improves event-free survival and overall survival, while also being more tolerable. The study is funded by the European Commission and is currently recruiting.
