First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a gentle brain stimulation technique (tDCS) to high-intensity interval training (HIIT) can better reduce pain, fatigue, and sleep problems in women with fibromyalgia compared to exercise alone. Forty women aged 18–65 with moderate to severe pain will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: HIIT with real brain stimulation, HIIT with a fake stimulation, or HIIT only. The goal is to find a more effective way to manage fibromyalgia symptoms.
