First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a program of resistance training (like lifting weights) plus a high-protein drink after workouts can help women with breast cancer maintain muscle and reduce fat while they receive chemotherapy before surgery. About 30 women will be randomly assigned to start the program either during or after their chemo. The goal is to see if this approach improves body composition and physical function.
