First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests a new drug called zuberitamab for people who develop Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection after a stem cell transplant. EBV can cause a serious condition called PTLD, which can be deadly if not treated. The drug targets a protein on infected cells to help clear the virus. About 20 adults who have had a stem cell transplant and have EBV in their blood will receive zuberitamab as their first treatment. The main goal is to see if the drug can clear the virus from the blood.
