First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving oral zinc sulfate or ursodeoxycholic acid alongside standard light therapy can lower bilirubin levels faster in newborns with jaundice. About 80 full-term or near-term babies will be enrolled. The goal is to reduce the time babies need phototherapy and possibly shorten hospital stays.
