First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tested an inactivated Zika vaccine (VLA1601) in 150 healthy adults aged 18 to 49 who had never been exposed to similar viruses. Participants received two doses of the vaccine at different strengths, with some also getting extra immune-boosting ingredients. The main goals were to check for side effects within a week of each shot and measure antibody levels a month after the second dose.
