First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a drug called ziftomenib for adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has certain gene changes (NPM1 or KMT2A). Participants are people who cannot receive standard intensive chemotherapy. The drug works by blocking a protein called menin, which helps the cancer grow. The goal is to see if ziftomenib can control the leukemia and reduce the need for blood transfusions.
