Implanted pump offers new hope for debilitating chemo pain

NCT ID NCT07499882

Summary

This study aims to see if a medication called ziconotide, delivered directly to the spinal fluid via a small implanted pump, can help relieve the chronic nerve pain that often follows chemotherapy. Researchers will observe 24 adults who already have this specific pump implanted for their pain. They will track changes in pain levels and quality of life over two years to see if this non-opioid treatment is effective.
