Summary

This study tests a brief therapy designed to reduce suicidal thoughts in 60 teens aged 12 to 17 who also have anxiety or depression. The therapy focuses on easing the feeling of being a burden to others, a key factor in suicide risk. If successful, this short approach could be easily used by mental health providers in the community.
