New expandable tool may make Weight-Loss surgery safer

Summary
This study tests a new FDA-cleared surgical tool called the Xpan radially dilating trocar. It is used in weight-loss (bariatric) surgery to create small openings that can expand as needed. The goal is to see if this new tool works just as well as existing ones, with fewer complications. About 35 adults having bariatric surgery will take part.
