One Man's last hope: experimental Light-Activated cancer therapy

NCT ID NCT06836648

Summary

This is a single-patient, compassionate-use trial for a man with advanced prostate cancer who has run out of standard treatment options. The study is testing a new approach called X-PACT, which involves injecting a plant-derived drug directly into the tumor and then activating it with X-rays. The goal is to kill the local tumor and potentially trigger the patient's own immune system to fight the cancer elsewhere in the body.
