Study tests best way to prepare women for breast reconstruction: reading or watching?

Summary
This study looks at whether written materials, videos, or a combination of both help women feel more knowledgeable, confident, and less anxious when deciding about breast reconstruction after mastectomy. About 100 adults considering mastectomy will be randomly assigned to receive one type of education or no extra materials. Researchers will measure anxiety, decision readiness, and knowledge before and after the clinic visit.
