New wrist fusion surgery aims to ease chronic pain

NCT ID NCT07335783

Summary

This study is testing a specific type of wrist fusion surgery for people with painful arthritis caused by an old, unhealed scaphoid wrist fracture (SNAC wrist). The surgery fuses two small wrist bones together to reduce pain and improve hand function. Researchers will follow 35 patients for one year after surgery to see how well it works.
