New study tests tool to improve healing after hip replacement

Summary

This study will see if using a device called the Alexis wound retractor during hip replacement surgery leads to better wound healing and fewer infections compared to not using it. About 202 adults having hip replacement will take part. Researchers will check wound healing, scarring, and nerve symptoms after surgery.
