NCT ID NCT07274878

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study compares two methods of closing the skin after open appendix surgery: standard interrupted stitches versus a hidden stitch plus a small drain under the skin. The goal is to see which method leads to fewer wound infections and better healing. About 100 people having open appendix surgery will take part.
