Are Women's diets based on Men's science? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT06533501

Summary

This study aimed to find out how much leucine, a key protein building block, women need during different parts of their menstrual cycle. Researchers studied 13 healthy women with regular cycles, using a special diet and safe breath tests. The goal was to gather better information to create dietary guidelines specifically for women, as current recommendations are based on studies in men.
