NCT ID NCT06706804
First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether training pregnant women on how to give a wiping bath (a sponge bath) changes when they bathe their newborn, the baby's temperature, and how long it takes for the umbilical cord stump to fall off. A total of 64 mothers were split into two groups: one group received the bath training, and the other followed standard hospital care. Researchers then called the mothers after birth to collect data on bathing time, temperature, and cord healing.
