Flute Players' lungs under the microscope: new study eyes Kids' chest mobility

NCT ID NCT07477535

First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This observational study will look at 80 children aged 8-14 to see if regularly playing wind instruments like the flute or melodica changes their chest movement, posture, breathing rate, and physical capacity. Half the kids will be wind instrument players, and the other half will be non-players. The goal is simply to measure and compare these factors—no treatment or intervention is being tested.
