Tiny blood samples, big brain clues: new study on williams syndrome

NCT ID NCT07537374

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study will collect blood samples from 3 children with Williams syndrome and 3 healthy children. Researchers will turn these blood cells into stem cells and then into brain cells to study how the brain develops differently in Williams syndrome. The goal is to understand the cellular and molecular causes of the condition, not to test a treatment.
