Could a berry root tea tame an overactive thyroid?

NCT ID NCT07164079

Summary

This study is testing if drinking a tea made from wild blackberry root can help improve the condition of people with Graves' disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes an overactive thyroid. Forty-two participants will drink either the blackberry tea or a placebo tea for eight weeks while continuing their standard medical treatments. Researchers will check if the tea helps improve thyroid hormone levels and other disease markers.
