Summary
This study tests whether taking a prebiotic fiber supplement (WellBiome) for 6-8 weeks before heart surgery can improve recovery. Researchers will measure time in the ICU, complications, and hospital stay in 80 adults aged 50-80. The goal is to see if improving gut health before surgery leads to better outcomes and lower healthcare costs.
