Summary
This study aims to find out if patients who continue taking their GLP-1 weight loss and diabetes medications (like Wegovy or Ozempic) after bariatric surgery have better results than those who stop. Researchers will compare weight loss, blood sugar control, and other health factors in 150 adults who are randomly assigned to either continue or discontinue their medication after surgery. The goal is to help doctors and patients make better decisions about long-term treatment plans for obesity and related conditions.
