First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study compares three weight loss methods—medication, surgery, and diet—to see which helps people with metabolic syndrome (obesity, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure) live longer and healthier. About 220 adults aged 35-55 will be followed for 24 weeks. The goal is to find the most effective approach for weight loss, blood sugar control, and heart health.
